Demolition Man (1993): Special Guest Nick Helm Gets Annoyed With GB!

Directed by first time feature director Marco Brambilla and released in 1993, Demolition Man cost around $100 million. It received mix reviews but would go on to make over $159 million dollars.

It was nominated for three Saturn Awards, for Best Costumes, Best Special Effects and Best Science Fiction Film – while the MTV Movie Awards nominated Wesley Snipes for Best Villain. It’s not all good though and GB discusses it with special guest, comedian Nick Helm, on this week’s podcast (Apple Podcasts / Spotify).

Brambilla would go on to make Excess Baggage and Dinotopia before sort of rebranding to become a “video artist”, and the movie would also be somewhat responsible for launching the career of Sandra Bullock who would make Speed the following year.

Check out the full podcast episode to find out why does Nick have the 3 sea shells? Who was meant to play the 3 main characters instead of Stallone, Snipes and Bullock? What were Stallone’s other great movies? And where is AJ?

Plus, they go off on many other movie-related tangents in a really fun and wacky chat for over an hour.
