Thank you for being here – and if you also listen to the podcast, thanks for listening. Genuinely.
Reviews are the lifeblood of any podcast. They help new listeners discover the show and signal to platforms that our conversations about classic cinema are worth spotlighting. They boost the show’s visibility inside each platform’s algorithm, helping it surface for people searching for classic movie content. And they provide genuine social proof. A five-star review with a heartfelt comment tells a curious newcomer that this show is worth hitting play on.
And growing the audience means we can expand, find sponsors and achieve things that help reduce the cost of doing it and the time we invest (the time, cost and effort that goes into it baffles even our own tiny brains but talking about that is … uncool, right?).
We know not everyone can financially support on the Patreon but a review is one way you can help support what we do. Another is just to share the pod with a friend or on social media. So if you’ve been enjoying the show, here’s exactly how to leave a review on every major platform, step by step.

Tips for Writing a Great Review
You don’t need to write an essay – even a sentence or two makes a real difference. If you’d like to write something meaningful, here are a few ideas:
- Mention your favourite episodes. Specific film titles or episode discussions help new listeners know where to start.
- Describe what makes the show unique. The depth of research? The warmth of the conversation? The films chosen?
- Say who you’d recommend it to. Fellow classic film fans, people new to old Hollywood, film students?
- Share how the show has shaped your love of classic cinema. Personal stories make the most compelling reviews of all.
Other Ways to Support the Show
If you’ve already left a review, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Here are a few other ways to help the show reach more classic movie lovers:
Share an episode. Send a favourite to a friend who loves old films. Word-of-mouth is still the most powerful marketing tool a podcast has.
Subscribe or follow. Following the show on whichever platform you use tells the algorithm you’re engaged, which helps the show surface to new listeners.
Tell us what you want to hear. Reach out through the website with film suggestions, questions, or topics you’d love us to cover. Your ideas shape the show.
Every review keeps the projector rolling. Thank you for being part of the Rewind Classic Movies community.
