HE-MAN is almost back and we’ve had our first official glimpse of what’s to come.
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures shared a “title reveal” video across social media on Wednesday for the movie that arrives in 2026.
We get the title – Masters of the Universe – in various languages. And it looks great.
But what’s even better is the inclusion of the classic comic music. Who was expecting that?
Certainly not people in the comments section who are now begging not to be teased and misled.
@cheese4g said: “Oof, that orchestral rendition of the cartoon theme tho. Please tell me it’s actually going to be in the movie and not just the marketing. I still haven’t forgiven Mutant Mayhem for giving us a beautiful piano cover of the TMNT theme in the teaser trailer and NEVER using it in the otherwise 10/10 movie.”
@studiohenge said: “DON’T TEASE ME. Are you really going to be using music from the cartoon? I assumed no one will ever do this in live action movies (Spider-Man, Transformers, etc etc) because it means paying the original composers. But so much of the emotion is tied to that music. You want to give your audience goosebumps? Use the original music, and make it epic, just like this. (James Bond and Star Wars are the best examples of constant reuse and constantly growing that catalog of themes.)”
Meanwhile, @Nediablo spoke for all of us when they said: “They got the music!!!!!!!! I am so happy with that.”
You can watch the trailer above. Leave a comment to let us know what you think of a reboot and the original 1987 movie
